MACE: Adventurer's Codex

The Adventurer's Codex is the player's guide for MACE, the Medieval Adventure Campaign Engine. House rules for OD&D (1974) blending historical influences with pop-culture medievalism. There are no classes, or levels. Characters advance by swearing pledges and fulfilling them before witnesses, and by what they win in play: wealth, items, learnings, alliances, and more. 

Inside are character creation with social status rules, phased combat, wilderness and dungeon procedures, equipment priced in silver, magic in two traditions (natural and learned), and an appendix for generating additional details.
